I want this website to be usable, welcoming, and accessible for as many people as possible – including people who are neurodivergent, living with pain or fatigue, using assistive technology, or who simply prefer a calm, predictable online experience. Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, and I’m actively improving the site as I build it.

What I’ve already done

To support a clearer, more accessible experience, I’ve:

• Used a clear heading structure Each page has one H1 heading, with H2 and H3 headings used in a logical order to support screen readers and easier scanning.
• Kept the design calm and predictable There are no autoplaying videos, and only gentle, non‑essential animations.
• Ensured forms have proper labels All form fields include visible labels (not just placeholder text), making them easier to understand and use with assistive technology.
• Improved link clarity Most links are styled clearly, and I’m continuing to make link appearance more consistent so it’s always obvious what can be clicked.
• Chosen readable colours The colour palette is designed to be soft but readable. While I haven’t formally tested WCAG contrast ratios yet, the colours have been selected with clarity in mind.
• Built the site with accessible tools The site is created using Elementor, which supports keyboard navigation and semantic structure. Full keyboard testing is planned.

What I’m still working on

Accessibility is an ongoing process, and I’m actively improving the site. Current tasks include:

• Adding ALT text to all meaningful images This includes descriptive text for images that convey information, and marking decorative images appropriately.
• Formal colour contrast testing I’ll be reviewing all text and background combinations to ensure they meet recommended contrast ratios.
• Full keyboard navigation testing I’ll be checking that all menus, buttons, and interactive elements can be used without a mouse.
