While writing this website, I asked a few clients if they’d be willing to share their experiences. I expected a couple of short reviews — instead, I was completely blown away by their kindness, honesty, the strength and resilience they’ve shown in their own journeys.
Rather than posting “testimonials”, I’m proud to share their stories with you. These are real people navigating pain, fatigue, hypermobility, and the unpredictability of their bodies — and finding ways to move, adapt, and live well.
Hannah’s Story
I’ve been working with Hollie since 2020, and in that time she has become an essential part of how I stay moving, functioning, and able to live my life with chronic and fluctuating conditions. Living with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, and ADHD means my needs change constantly- but Hollie adapts with me every single time.
What stands out most is how brilliantly she manages both my body and my life. She works around my ever‑shifting symptoms and my chaotic work and home schedule, making it possible for me to keep showing up even when everything feels unpredictable.
We’ve worked on stabilisation, joint protection, functional strength, and building habits that help prevent the same injuries from cycling around again. When I’m consistent with my sessions, the difference is incredible: I can lift my bag into the car without dislocating something, and I can even wash my hair without popping my shoulder out of place. Improvements like these change my day‑to‑day life in ways that really matter- they give me back independence and ease in simple tasks that most people don’t even think about.
Hollie has this perfect balance of knowing when to rein me in (because yes, I definitely try to do too much when I have a good day) and when to gently push me (especially on the days when motivation has completely left the building). She does all of it with humour, compassion, and genuine empathy for how unpredictable chronic illness can be.
What keeps me coming back to her sessions is simple: with Hollie, I always feel supported, understood, and capable of starting again– no matter how many times my health forces me to press reset. She keeps me going, keeps me hopeful, and keeps me moving safely.
Sofia’s Story
“I wanted to say how kind, supportive, and EDS, hypermobility, fragile body, and chronic pain aware I found you.
Will recommend you to other hypermobile people + EDS sufferers if I ever encounter any looking for safe for them physio.”
Emily’s Story
Hollie has been a godsend to me over the past few years. In 2021 I was 67 and was starting to feel creeping effects of age – and didn’t like it. I couldn’t face joining a group exercise class, but my sister introduced me to Hollie and I started one-to-one online sessions with her.
Hollie devised a range of exercises, from several disciplines, to regain flexibility, strength and balance and after only a few sessions I could see improvement. We carried on beyond this baseline and I honestly felt years younger and much happier in myself. Better posture, more confident, more stamina. Even the niggles of arthritic hands and knees were less of an issue.
Unfortunately, in 2023 I had a serious mishap and badly injured my back, including crushing bones in my spine. I didn’t need surgery, and there was thankfully no nerve damage, but it was a huge shock to the system. But this is where Hollie really proved her worth. When the bones had healed, and the NHS had done what it could with its limited resources, my back was weak and my posture was awful. I didn’t want to accept this situation so I returned to our weekly sessions and let Hollie guide me through recovery. Knowing she is a qualified physiotherapist gave me confidence that I would be in safe hands.
She took great care in devising a plan that suited my needs and started very gently, gauging my capability as we went along. The progress I’d made with Hollie previously stood me in good stead and I soon felt we were getting somewhere. Now I am stronger than ever and have regained my posture and flexibility. She still starts every session by asking about my energy levels, and any niggles I might have, and adjusts the exercises accordingly. On good days we crack on, on bad days (which are rare) we might ease up and do a bit of restorative yoga.
Hollie appears to be unfailingly cheerful and easy-going, making her sessions as enjoyable as anything involving exercise can ever be. Long may we continue. Thanks Hollie
Meera’s Story
Hollie was my Physiotherapist for just over two years. I am pretty exercise-averse, but the stiffness in my knees was affecting my mobility and quality of life, so I decided to try a few one-to-one sessions. I enjoyed them so much that I booked a regular weekly class with Hollie.
In the first hour or two, she gauged my fitness level and inability to do basic movements like getting down on the floor and getting up again without help. So we started from there. She was a very gentle and patient teacher. Owing to the lockdowns, our sessions moved online. Hollie would teach me a movement, carefully observe what I could manage and then we would work on improving that. I did have to get out of my comfort zone sometimes, but only to challenge myself to do a little better.
Over the period that I was with Hollie, my knees improved to the point that I felt confident walking on level ground without a walking stick, and I was able to get up off the floor by myself, without holding on to something for support. The sessions were tailored precisely for me, so they suited me better than a general class. I can confidently recommend Hollie as a Physiotherapist.
Alina’s Story
“Hollie is a brilliant Physiotherapist. Her expertise really puts her at another level. I started having lessons with Hollie in the hope to incorporate exercise easily and flexibly into my life that would gently increase my strength and overall fitness- and that it did!
Hollie’s approach is really tailored to your own personal goals, and it really felt like she was always able to meet me where I was at that day. For example she would take into account where I was in my menstrual cycle or if I was feeling stressed/tired- she always had ideas for how to tailor the workout that really suited the moment and how I was feeling.
As a result I progressed more than I had with any other fitness class (getting to the point of being able to do several pushups). She is very supportive and patient, and I really enjoyed having sessions with her. I would highly recommend Hollie to anyone looking to find a Physiotherapist who really knows her stuff and tailors your workouts to suit you.”
Rachel’s Story
“I can honestly say that Physiotherapy works!
Physiotherapy with Hollie was suggested to me 5 years ago. I was 68 and becoming noticeably less flexible, with knee problems too. After only a few weeks of working with Hollie I began to feel the benefits and have continued to improve ever since. Now at nearly 74 my general fitness is much better and my knees are working well.
Hollie’s background in physiotherapy gives me confidence in her advice and guidance. Her one-to-one lessons, in the comfort of my own home by the wonders of technology, are personalised to my needs and she readily adapts her plans on days when I have lower energy for any reason.”
